LENE AADALEN SKOMEDAL

Lene Aadalen Skomedal was born in Norway but lives in Gothenburg, Sweden. As a hornplayer she has worked with numerous orchestras and ensembles in several countries, such as co-principal in Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra, solo horn in Copenhagen Phil (contract), co-principal Wermland Opera (contract), 2nd horn Trondheim Symphony Orchestra (contract), and a huge amount of projects and shorter contracts with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Gothenburg Opera, Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Norwegian National Opera Orchestra, and many others.

Her career also includes work as playing as a soloist, in chamber music and taught or given masterclasses in a large number of projects, festivals and events, such as Fjord Classics (Norway), Citguad (Spain), Encuentro Internacional de Cornos (Chile), Carnaval du Cor (Germany) and Corno Brass Music Festival and many more.

Through combining her music career with teaching her very own style of "yoga for musicians", coaching and breathing technique, she has teached at academies like Colburn School of Music (Los Angeles, US), Hanns Eisler (Berlin, Germany), Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London, UK), Hochschule für Musik (Hannover, Germany), Brass Academy Alicante and very many more.

Lene has given workshops and lectures for several professional ensembles and orchestras, and she has personal clients that range from very young students to world star soloists, conductors and musicians in for example Berlin Phil, LA Phil and Concertgebouw Orchestra.
